We had the best time playing in these dirt piles at a friend's home! The kids could have stayed for hours - a total Utah "beach" day!

We got to visit Grandma Roselyn and Grandpa Franklin after picking up the twins' glasses. They are both obviously aging, and still obviously amazing. I am so thankful that our kids are beneficiaries of not only their optimistic, loving, hard working, strong genes, but of their generous and loving personal influence. Grandma showed us a short movie about a pioneer story, and Grandpa was trying to decide whether or not to kill a snake that had found it's way to his front porch. They were both generous with their love for the kids and me - it floors me that every time we visit them thinking that we will brighten their days, we leave far better off than we came.

First few moments with glasses! Dane, whose vision has been especially bad, could not believe the leaves on the trees, the trees onthe mountains, or the letters on signs!

For some reason, I have always loved doing chores with the kids. I suspect it's because it's the result of many hours of teaching them what I believe to be totally foundational to their future success. The twins spent a long time today trying to get the kitchen floor clean!

As if 8 hours per week doesn't cut it...these little football players can't get enough!

Greg Skedros generously treated my parents, myself and our boys to dinner at the Mandarin tonight...dessert and all. He has been such a great influence my whole life, and I am thankful to have that influence continue on our kids now. He spent a few minutes teaching each child how to give a proper handshake, and wouldn't let them go without treating them to ice cream to top off the amazing meal. What an example of kindness; we will remember this night for a long time to come.
