Jonah:
Oh papa gets to go to Florida? Lucky! Why can't we go? He went to Florida with US...why can't we go with him?

Abba's contribution

And on that very busy day, Jonah, Dane and Will were at the Hyatt with us in downtown Salt Lake. We were watching a movie and working on a gingerbread project when Jonah asked, "Why does Papa want us to go to a hotel with him anyway?"

The boys wanted to go home after the movie and when I said I wasn't sure what their parent's plan for coming to get them would be, all three boys chorused, "Oh and mom will come to get us. She told us she would." That's trust. --Abba

Mom after a busy day: "Doesn't it feel good to be home, Jonah?"

Jonah: "With you"

Will's first violin performance!

Sunday, December 2, 2012

Since we have been reading Greek Myths at home, when we drove by a bank named "Hercules" the other day, I pointed it out to the kids and asked them if that meant that bank was string or weak? Was it a bank they would want to keep their money in? I was expecting them all to say how strong and trustworthy that name sounded BUT...

Liza immediately piped up "Any bank who has to use that name probably has to use that name because it is actually weak. I would never keep my money there!"

We laughed and laughed!

At preschool today, the kids were comparing a cooked carrot to an uncooked carrot. Miss Kristi asked them, "what is the difference ?" and the kids said, "the one that comes from the store is soft." Kristi asked, "which one?" to which Will replied, "Costco."

Sunday family journal-writing

Will's first Suzuki violin play-in with over 200 violinists! He was in awe.

Who do you invite to your outdoor card game when you are the sweetest 5 and 6 year old boys on earth? Your mom and your stuffed animals...deal them all in! These guys know how to throw a party!

Will's very clever craft!

There's nothin like a little dry-ice shower to bring a fever down!

Since the twins have been home from school sick most of the week, we have fit in a little homeschool here and there. This was a science experiment that taught us about the curvature of air currents that all of the boys loved!

Halloweeny sistahs

Liza and pals

Our Halloween witches brew tradition is alive and well.

Spontaneous costume!

Happy Halloween!

Kev and the kids also spoiled me with a divine carrot cake, sweet card from the kids, and pictures from our recent photo shoot that Kev and the photographer rushed to print (2 weeks ahead of schedule) just for me! What a day!

Kev took me to Ruth's Chris for my favorite chopped salad! I wore the sweater that you have me, Judy, and loved it!

Liza "chubby bunnied" 30, yes 30 grapes!! It was hysterically hilarious.

We had such a fun birthday celebration for Grammy with aunts, uncles and cousins. The kids worked on this card for her for a long time and she loved it! Liza gave her some fizzy lotion that was the hit of the party. It was such a pleasant evening; we hated to see anyone go!

Will totally came through for his team at their last fall game, scoring three if their four goals! He is a true Tiger Shark!

All of the kids' favorite art teacher (besides Abba), Miss Chris (in the green)!

At Legacy Prep's Halloween night, the boys had their fortune told. We learned that Jonah was going out trick or treating under the full moon on Halloween, that Dane is going to have something to do with water (fisherman, swimmer, or maybe just take showers), and that Will will be a scientist. Hhhmmmm

Will: Mom, what's Adamandeve? Who is he?

Addie: your auntie Kate calls everyone "love"

Liza: my great grandma calls everyone "angels" and every time she says that I'm thinking "I'm just living here...right on earth..."

Addie: Liza, I am tempted to squirt you with water!

Liza: I am strongly resisting the urge to whack you with this stick!

Mom: Liza, if someone offered me a trillion dollars to buy you, I would tell him to STICK IT.

Liza: Mom, if someone offered me a trillion dollars for you, I would take it. Then I would buy you back and still have a billion left!

Will and I shared a few mean games of tic tac toe during our alone time the other day. Love that kid.
