The highlight of our day was getting to give Grammy a surprise "heart attack" for her birthday!

All of the kids wrote notes on the hearts that told Grammy things they love about her. They were so excited for her to see it! She seemed to love it; in fact she even said she isn't going to take it down for a while!

She gave the boys each a root beer and lots of hugs - it was a delight to spend some time with her and celebrate her special day!

Liza chooses such positive friends to surround herself with. If she and Sydney aren't talking about boys, they are laughing, giggling, doing homework, working on a project, walking somewhere or just talking together. They don't speak poorly of others; they don't gossip (at least that I hear!). They lift each other up. I'm so thankful for their friendship.

Jonah made his first cake tonight! He shared with all of us and it was delicious! Dane was busy drawing for much of the afternoon.

More dirt pile play with more kids that we LoVe! The sunset backdrop to 8 kids' smiles and squeals of delight made this beach party especially spectacular.

Our last game of the season was today. Dane rocked a few tackles and Jonah was a total pro at staying on his guy. They have learned so much from their dedicated coaches and teammates - it has been such a positive experience for them. We will miss this team.

The dirt piles have been a highlight of our year - the kids cannot get enough of them! After hanging out there with the Stayners, we had them and a bunch of other kids over to our house to watch a show and have pizza. I think there were 15 kids in all (and 2 moms!)...my favorite kind of Friday night!

I also got to help Will and his P.E. class learned about football and frisbee today - such a treat.

Love volunteering in the twins' art class. Today, we worked on Viking ships.

A ball + a court + 3 boys and a mom = dribbles, shots, steals and one wicked game of four square :)

It's crazy that this girl will be in Chile in less than 6 weeks! I got to go with her this morning as she made some packing preparations with the experts at ILC.

While we were reading tonight, Jonah got the spontaneous and brilliant idea to make Dane into an angler fish! Dane didn't mind the reading light being clamped on to his hair as he was transformed into a creature of the deep that he has always loved. So funny!

Liza and friends made cookies for a friend tonight and laughed the entire time ... There was a spontaneous dance party in there too somewhere (of course!) :)

Dinner with the fam at Papa and Abbas is always a treat.

The boys got to go with Kevin to visit cousins Charlie and Juliet today!

Liza and I got to go shopping and to dinner with Papa and Abba! She is a delight and it was a treat to get to focus on just her.

The boys, Cash and I spent the morning at Kangaroo Zoo - no school (UEA) - yay!!

Cute Liza and friend Taylor are working on a block puzzle kit - I love that they sat right up and got to work in the tiny art chairs they have outgrown...so cute!

Sophie still snuggles Dane to sleep every night - it's the sweetest thing.
